Michael Trouche grew up in Charleston’s historic South of Broad district, where his family has lived for more than two centuries. He is an award-winning journalist who has written two books about the city – The Charm of Charleston and Charleston Yesterday and Today.
Michael’s tours feature flourishing gardens, captivating architecture and ironwork, colonial churches and cemeteries, hidden nooks and harbor vistas, unique legends and characters, Civil War and Revolutionary War sites, cobblestone streets and bell towers, tales of pirates, ghosts, earthquakes and hurricanes, as well as local dialects and culture.
Tour times start at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, and leave from 108 Meeting Street. Reservations required.
