Church Tea Rooms offer a glimpse into how this mannerly city fetes the public through church tea rooms. Many of the receipts, or recipes to those who are from off, have been handed down and improved upon from one generation to the next.

St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Tea Room, one of the oldest, will be held April 29-May 3, 11:30am-2pm, at the corner of Church and Cumberland Streets in downtown Charleston. A delivery service to downtown locations
and take-out lunches are available by calling 843-722-7921 or visit
www.stphilipschurchsc.org.

Grace Episcopal Church Tea Room, on Wentworth St., is held May 27 – June 1,
and June 3-7, 11:30am-2pm. A gift shop, the Church Mouse Boutique,
open from 10:30am-3pm, is also available.
