Hours of Operation

Beidler Forest is open Tuesday through Sunday (closed Monday) from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. You should arrive by 3:00 p.m. to have time to enjoy the 1.75-mile boardwalk.
No pets, please.

Beidler Forest is closed on select holidays, particularly: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. There are other holiday closings. Please call in advance if you wish to visit on such days.

Adults are $10. Discounts for Audubon members, Senior Citizens, children and groups available.

The Lowcountry’s “real swamp” experience!

Francis Beidler Forest contains the largest virgin stand of Baldcypress/Tupelo Gum swamp forest in the world. 1000-year old trees, abundant native wildlife abound in this untouched Audubon Society sanctuary. Boardwalk trail, or canoeing in season. Tues-Sun, 9-5. 843-462-2150.
