2010 Charleston Symphony Orchestra Designer Showhouse

2010 Charleston Symphony Orchestra Designer Showhouse

Now in its 33rd year, the Charleston Symphony Designer Showhouse has become an annual tradition for locals and visitors alike. Each year, a different space is transformed by some of our area’s most talented designers, creating a stunning visual display.

This year promises to be spectacular. Not one, but two houses will be on display. The first, at 120 South Battery is a Georgian Colonial Revival house, completed in 1922, and just down the block, at 54 Gibbes Street, is the second, just as spectacular, home. Built in 1910, this home has just completed a total renovation. Plan on lunch at the South Battery home, where al fresco dining will be available around the pool and in the garden. The boutique will also be open with lots of interesting objects.

The Showhouse is held to benefit the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and will be open to the public March 18 through April 18. Tickets are $25 at the door and $20 in advance and may be purchased at www.csolinc.org. The house will be open 10 am to 4 pm Monday-Saturday, and 1-4 pm on Sundays, except Easter.
