Visit Riley Park or “The Joe” and enjoy one of America’s favorite pastimes – baseball! Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, named after the long-time former mayor of Charleston, is home to the Charleston RiverDogs and The Citadel baseball team. The former mayor is an avid baseball fan who is often in attendance having escaped the pressures of directing one of America’s most historic cities. He is one of the city’s great promoters of the game of baseball, and despite his objections, city council voted unanimously to name the facility in his honor.

Riley Park opened in time for the first season in 1997 and has since set records for attendance. Most recently, the RiverDogs set a single season franchise attendance record when 305,622 fans passed through the turnstiles.

Riley Park is located at 360 Fisburne Street in Charleston. Check the calendars in this issue for dates of home games or visit www.riverdogs.com.
